The Wichita Times Record News is reporting that black mold (Stachybotrys) has been discovered at the Wichita Falls police impound, resulting in temporarily displacing the police officers who work there.

According to police chief, Manuel Borrego, the mold was found in the office ceiling tile and in a hallway of the Armory Road building after heavy rains fell in May and June.

Chief Borrego had told the Times Record News that the health of the 20 officers working in the building who were evacuated did not appear to be affected by the mold and should return in a couple weeks.
